Music to shut down part of your mind while doing something else
When I started making electronic music in 2000, it was so I could have something to listen to while concentrating on my day job of testing software.
“Thread sleep”, a Java method, causes the current thread to stop executing for a specified period to make the processor more efficient, or something. I’m not a programmer. That’s just what the definitions say.
I thought Thread Sleep was an excellent title, and a good way to describe the leadoff ambient track in this playlist, a new release by me as of January 2, 2024:
